School
Dear Parents/Carers

This is the final letter of the school year.  Thank you for your ongoing support and a particular thank you for the tremendous response in returned questionnaires for the Ofsted Inspection!

We are due to receive the first draft of the report at the end of term and this will then be made public at the start of the September term, in line with Ofsted’s normal procedures.
Final Assembly
On Friday at 10 o’clock we are holding our final assembly.  Class 1 will be singing and end of year certificates will be presented.  All parents are welcome to attend.

Non School Uniform Day

Please remember that Friday is non-school uniform day.  50p donations will go to Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Summer Holiday
Six weeks is a long time away from school.  Please encourage your child to read on a regular basis and we would be pleased to see any holiday diaries kept by children.  Practising number bonds and times tables would also be beneficial.  Please ask your child’s class teacher for more specific activities that would be beneficial to your child.
Class 1 Sunflowers
This is a letter from Lindsay Whittington:

Class 1 have been learning about sunflowers and took part in a fundraising project to raise money, both for our school and for the Greenfingers Appeal charity, to build much needed gardens at Children’s Hospices throughout the U.K.

Each child grew their own sunflower and was sponsored for every centimetre it grew.  The money raised will be divided equally between our school and the Greenfingers Appeal.

Class 1 raised £303.00 in total so £151.50 goes to school and £151.50 to the Greenfingers Appeal.

Well done Class 1!

Thank you Lindsay for organising this event

Don’t forget school closes at 1.30 p.m. tomorrow. See you back at school on Wednesday 5th September.
Have a great Summer holiday!
